It is August and with that means a few things are right around the corner here in the greater Raleigh area.  Traditional calendar schools are getting ready to start up, both college and professional football will be hitting the gridiron on weekends, and the Beericana Craft Beer and Music Festival is on the calendar.

Beericana, just as the name implies is a festival that brings together the best of North Carolina craft breweries (and beyond) and marries them up for the day with fantastic food options and live music entertainment.  When Beericana started in 2014, around 50 breweries were on hand to offer tasty selections to over 2500 attendees.  This year, organizers are expecting over 4000 people to show up at Sugg Farm Park in Holly Springs and will have more than 70 breweries showing off their best brews.

Along with the flow of liquid gold, there will also be a variety of food trucks from around the area to keep your taste buds jumping.  Some of those that will be attending include Cousin's Maine Lobster, Bulkogi Korean BBQ, and Belgian Waffology just to name a few.

Beericana is an afternoon event happening on Saturday Sept. 10th from Noon to 6:00pm in Holly Springs at Sugg Farm Park.  All parking for the event is on site and free of charge.  Please be sure to bring a valid photo ID along with your printed ticket.  You may also bring a blanket or folding chair, umbrella and bottled water.  You may also want to consider bringing an empty shopping bag for the items you pick up at the different breweries or any purchased items. No pets of any kind will be allowed at Beericana.  Please don't bring your own cooler or drinking mugs/cups, no outside food or beverages (except botttled water) will be allowed and it goes without saying, no firearms will be allowed at Beericana.  No person under the age of 21 will be allowed on the grounds during the event.

Beericana is a fund afternoon event that is not to be missed.  If you are a beer lover, music lover or food lover then this event is for you.  See you there on September 10th.   For additional information, check out the official website
