Apple Orchards Around the Triangle
Apple Orchards Around the Triangle
If you are anything like me you LIVE for fall
and everything that comes with it! Boots, sweaters, cooler weather, pumpkins,
all things pumpkin spice, apple cider donuts, apple cider, fall baked goods
(apple pie!), fresh picked apples and the list goes on and on!! Fall is truly
my favorite time of year! Growing up in New England, Massachusetts to be
specific late September had us going to the Apple Orchards to pick apples and
then rush home to make homemade applesauce and apple pies. That smell wafting
through the house bring back so many memories and definitely signifies the
changing of the season for me.
With that being said, being down here in North Carolina although the weather has you still thinking it’s summer the North Carolina apple orchards let you get that little taste of fall. There are a lot of really good apple orchards out in the mountains but if you don’t have time to drive all the way out there below you find a list of apple orchards within 100 miles of the Triangle area that are perfect for a day trip and will have you filling that apple basket and rushing home to make delicious treats!
