Artsplosure - A Festival for ALL
Artsplosure - Raleigh's Premier Outdoor Art Festival
Let me first start by saying that our ENTIRE family loves Artsplosure! Why? Because there is something for everyone. This was the case when Jen and I went the first time with a newborn 19 years ago and it was the case this year when my 19 year old attended again with the family. My 15 year old, Camden, went with Jen one year (about 7 years ago) and he made a beaded version of our name in one of the many interactive art displays. That beaded "KIMA" still hangs in Maggie the Jeep!
Artsplosure, an annual arts festival held in Raleigh, North Carolina, is a vibrant celebration of creativity and community for the residents and visitors of North Carolina. My family and I have loved getting to Artsplosure over the years. As a matter of fact, the year after we bought our home (2003) we attended and bought a great photo that to this day still stands above our fireplace. I personally love pottery, photography and the FOOD! Over four decades now, this event has brought together artists, performers, and art enthusiasts, making the city into a colorful tapestry of artistic expression. We will dive into the world of Artsplosure, exploring its history, the diverse range of talented vendors, and the profound impact it has on the cultural landscape of Raleigh and our living room!
Artsplosure is more than just a traditional art festival; it is a kaleidoscope (I had to use spell check for that!) of creative expression. The festival embraces a wide range of artistic methods, including visual arts, music, dance, theater, and interactive installations. The public has the opportunity to engage with artists, check out captivating performances, and immerse themselves in exhibitions. Artsplosure goes beyond observation; it invites active participation, encouraging visitors to explore their own creativity through hands-on activities and workshops. This interactive approach fosters a deeper connection between artists and the community, making Artsplosure an inclusive and engaging experience for all.
