Camp Gladiator Fitness Program
My wife and I had been wanting to get active and back into being more fit in our daily lives. We had tried different workout routines like Insanity and P90X in the past. They were good programs but not something that we found to be lasting. We were not interested in joining a gym. We had done that in the past also but often found the gym crowded or classes were too full. Hiring a personal trainer was not in the budget and we don’t have space at home for a “home gym”. Then we found out about Camp Gladiator. A friend of ours invited us to a free week of classes and so we thought, “why not”. Well that was 2.5 years ago and we are still going strong.
Camp Gladiator (CG) is a fitness program led by certified trainers that you can do in person or online via Zoom. Each workout is 60 minutes long and is a full body workout incorporating both strength and cardio conditioning. It is a 4 week program and each week focuses on a different type of workout (Strength & Agility, Endurance, Interval, Peak Week) To get started, all you need is a workout mat and a set of dumbbells (and those aren’t absolutely necessary when starting out).
In person camps are outdoors typically in a parking lot either at a local business, community center, or church. Workout times vary based on the location and the trainer running the workout but if you are a CG member, you can attend any workout at any time offered in any location offered.
Virtual workouts are run the same way except instead of driving to your workout location, you simply connect via Zoom at the appropriate time to connect with your trainer and the other participants for the workout and do the workout from wherever you are. (*this option started at the beginning of Covid and it was so popular, CG kept it as an option even after in person training continued).
I love CG because the workouts change all the time and you get to interact with others during your workouts without the hassle of waiting on equipment at the gym or feeling crowded. You are outside so you have all the space you need.
