FEAR the FALL in the TRIANGLE
It is the beginning of October in the Triangle. The cooler nights of fall are just around the corner, and with that comes campfires, corn mazes, pumpkin beers, and Haunted Houses!!! The greater Raleigh area has all kinds of fun seasonal attractions to keep you busy and none are more anticipated and enjoyed than those good old-fashioned Fright attractions. You can find all sorts of options and opportunities to explore around Raleigh during the month of October.
One of the most popular and well-known attractions in the area is Clayton Fear Farm. CFF offers several different Fright experiences for your entertainment and “enjoyment.” If sitting back and riding is your style, then you may want to consider the Fear Forest Haunted Hayride. Are you more into the good ole fashioned haunted house? Then check out their Farm House tour! For an experience a little more original, try either “The Black Hole” or the “Slaughter House:” both are sure to get your blood pumping!!
Another great attraction can be found in Youngsville at Haunted Forest at Panic Point. This outdoor haunted attraction has been around for 11 years and has people coming back every year wanting more. Tons of variety at Panic Point with 5 different attractions and over 30 spine tingling scenes. You can walk through the Killers in the Corn (Maze), take a ride on the Howling Hayride, go for a half mile walk through the Haunted Forest or choose a fan favorite, the Dark Trail. You really can’t go wrong at HFPP if you are looking to get your FEAR on!!
Hollerin Haunts Hayride is located in Clinton and is yet another great option if you want a little variety for your Fright Night. HHH offers both a haunted hayride as well as a haunted corn maze for your enjoyment. Something unique offered at this location is their Zombie Hunt. Participants ride on top of a 2-story ZRT equipped with PaintBall Guns. During the hayride, the ZRT is attacked by Zombies and it is your job to defend yourself. There are lots of “moving” targets as well as stationary targets to shoot at. The ride lasts as long as your ammo.
All of these great activities are available during the month of October so don’t delay. Enjoy the autumn of 2021 and don’t get too scared out there.
