Kids Eat Free in the Triangle!
What are the 3 magic words every parent loves to hear? They're "KIDS EAT FREE". Yes, it does exist and there are great options out there. Let’s face it - our lives are hectic. Raleigh and Wake Forest homeowners know all too well. Trying to beat the traffic and cook for the family every night has its challenges. However, eating out at a full dining establishment as an alternative can create challenges for your budget. What if there were budget friendly restaurants that would allow you to eat out one additional night a week and not break the bank? Would that help eliminate a little bit of stress? If even to save a couple hours a week I would say it is worth it. As a family of 5 if I can even reclaim one hour a week it’s huge! A quick bite after dance class, taekwondo, baseball practice, or gymnastics can save some time before getting the kids home, settled in, and off to bed. Here are some current options that are out there.
Burgers:
Backyard Burgers offers a free kids meal with
an adult purchase at some locations on Mondays from 5-8. BurgerIM offers a free kids option on Wednesdays during all business hours. It is available for kids 10
and under.
Sit Down Chains:
If you are looking for a dine in option that will allow you
to have a nice cold brew Applebee’s offers free kids meals on Tuesday from 4
to close for kids 12 and under.
On Tuesday night Carolina Ale House has a discounted option under $1 from 5pm to close.
If you are in the
mood for breakfast iHOP has an option several nights of the week at many
locations, and is the most flexible of the bunch. From 4-9 kids eat free at iHOP with each adult purchase.
Denny’s has a
similar offer on Tuesdays from 4-10pm.
My Personal Favorite:
One of my favorites and possibly the most convenient, as far as getting in and out, is Moe’s Southwestern Grill. It’s super casual which works great when the
kids still have all their gear on. My kids are picky eaters. It’s tough to go wrong with Cheese Quesada’s
and chips. The plastic kids cup also helps for the little one. You can take
advantage of it on Tuesday all day long! Kids 12 and under get a free
kids meal with an adult entrée.
Please keep in mind every individual location might not
participate and the promotions can change at any time. You may need to dine in to take advantage.
Also, see what items qualify as an adult
entrée and what ages they allow to participate. So give them a quick call
before you make that trip.
Don’t be afraid to ask your favorite spot or a place you stop in for a quick bite to see if they have any kids eat free options. You might be surprised there are many more out there.
