Local Business Spotlight - The Elderberry Lady
Support Your Body With Berries
If you are located in the North Carolina Triangle, you know that we have multiple causes of seasonal allergies, and people seem to be getting sick around the clock! For those of you looking for a safe way to boost your immune system, I highly recommend elderberry syrup from Cary business owner Kristyn Sewell, otherwise known as The Elderberry Lady. With all the germs you are exposed to on a daily basis at work, school, grocery store, etc. nothing else kicks colds & viruses to the curb like this syrup. Elderberry’s power comes from the flavonoids it contains that support a healthy inflammation response. One thing I love about this syrup is that when stored properly, in the refrigerator, it lasts up to 6 months, so it can get you through the entire germ season!
My husband, kids, and myself have been using it for the past 9 months and the moment we feel a sniffle come on, our go to is The Elderberry Lady. It is safe for children over 1 year old to consume. All ingredients are organic except for the honey, which is raw. You do have the option to order it without honey. Kristyn, the owner, ships anywhere in the greater Raleigh area, as well as anywhere in the U.S. She also has multiple pick up locations throughout the Triangle, including some local businesses such as Keystone Chiropractic, Carolina Massage & Wellness, and 501 Pharmacy. If you become a fan on her Facebook page, Kristyn posts where she will do bulk drop offs. She will meet a group of customers at a set location - I usually go to the Whole Foods drop point in North Raleigh.
The elderberry syrup is produced in a commercial kitchen and is inspected by the NC Department of Agriculture. It is also gluten, dairy, nut, & soy free. For those with a severe allergy to nuts, please note, it is made in a kitchen where nut products are present.
