Making A Difference in Wake Forest
Making a Difference
Our team had a chance to give back to our community this week and if you watch Coffee Talk with Kima you know what I am talking about. Peter Kima, Chad Wingler, Martin Kapauff and David Colgan (of Movement Mortgage) represented the Kima Real Estate Group and played at Heritage Golf Course for an amazing cause, Kohlton Kourage, hosted by Capitol City Homes. The tournament began in 2016 and has been an annual event since. Our Director of Operations, Meagan Moulden and myself were able to add value at the event by handing out free beverages to golfers as they came by the 4th hole. It was a great day watching the community come together and giving back to such a great cause. If you want to find out how to help this amazing family visit http://www.capitolcityhomescares.com/.
Wake Forest is growing and stills gives a small town feel
for a community. One of the reasons I
was thrilled to join the Kima Real Estate Group was because they do care and
they do give back to the community. One
of the questions they asked in my interview process was how do I give back to
the community? While interviewing is
always a stressful time it took me a minute to think, how do I give back? It is easy to give back to your community,
either with your time, donating items, collecting items from friends and
families, or a monetary donation.
Gladwell Orthodontics located at 2824 Rogers Road, Suite 200, Wake Forest, NC 27587, offers
a Charity Café to their patients. Each
quarter they donate 100% of their donations made to the coffee to a cause in
the community. This quarter they are
donating to Make-a-Wish Eastern North Carolina.
They are offering Starbucks drinks for no cost to patients and their
families and they only ask for a donation that goes to a charity they have
picked. If you are unable to visit their
office you can also make a donation on their website. Stop in and visit
Gladwell Orthodontics next time you are in the Rogers Road area for a drink
and an easy way to give back.
People
often think that giving back costs money and it doesn’t have to. One of my favorite things in this world are
animals. Saving Grace located in Wake
Forest, North Carolina host a variety of animals that need some attention as
well as a loving home. Molly shares the
story of how and where these animals come from on her website. They take the time to learn as much
information they can about each animal as well as screen and provide medical
care to these animals in need. If you are not in the place to adopt you can donate
money or host an event for them. They
are looking for foster homes as well. If
you have the time and space to open up your home to these animals in need
please take time to reach out to Saving Grace.
Giving back to our community includes animals who are in need of a
loving home.
How does
the Kima Real Estate Group give back to the community? Our lead agent Peter spends his spare time
volunteering at Lobster Bingo Event, providing meals to the Wake Forest Fire Station to benefit the children in the community, volunteering to coach his
children’s athletic teams and collection school supplies for local schools in
Wake Forest. We are a team who wants to
volunteer our time and help not only in Wake Forest but surrounding areas such
as Raleigh, Cary, Apex, and Fuquay Varina.
I have had the pleasure of traveling to foreign countries to help build
homes for families in need and volunteering in Rolesville at the elementary
school I worked at for eight years. Check out our team and let us know how you
want to help the great community of Wake Forest. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
to see the next way we are going to give back.
