The Best Carolina Beaches
You may be reading this from out of North Carolina or you may be here In North Carolina and just need a refresh on the beaches here in North and South Carolina as we gear up for a nice summer. The Carolinas are a popular vacation spot for beachgoers, and for good reason. With miles of beautiful coastline. , crystal clear waters, and stunning natural scenery, it's no wonder that visitors from all over the world flock to these beaches to soak up the sun and sand In this blog, we will take a closer look at the “best” beaches in North and South Carolina, as well as some of the top restaurants to try while you're there.
North Carolina
Wrightsville Beach - Located just a few miles from downtown Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. With its crystal-clear water and soft, sandy beaches, it's the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. For lunch or dinner, check out Tower 7 Baja Mexican Grill for delicious tacos and margaritas. Check out website and menu here! Another great option at Wrightsville Beach would be The Bluewater Waterfront Grill, take a peak at their website and menu here.
Outer Banks - The Outer Banks are a 200-mile stretch of barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina, and they are home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the state. Popular spots include Corolla, Nags Head, and Kill Devil Hills. In Manteo check out The Hungry Pelican, a casual but fun deli! Find out more about The Hungry Pelican here. In Nags Head you will not want to miss Mahi Mahi’s Island Grill, check out their food and menu here!
Emerald Isle - Emerald Isle is a family-friendly beach town located on Bogue Banks Island. With its calm waters and gentle waves, it's a great place for swimming and kayaking. For a casual lunch or dinner, try RuckerJohns, which serves up burgers, sandwiches, and seafood. Also, I could not find a website which surely means this place is a must try so be sure to check out The Trading Post.
Atlantic Beach – Atlantic Beach is right across the bridge from Morehead City and a beach which you will have a great time at. The water is crystal clear, there is a boardwalk as well as many surf shops which you can shop at. If you get hungry there are a plethora of options, one of my faves is Amos Mosquitos. Last but not least, Topsail, one of my personal favorite beaches in NC, it is super nice and typically tends not to be as crowded as the other beaches. This beach gives off small town vibes, no flashy boardwalks but good people and good places to eat! Hilton Head Island - Hilton Head Island is a popular vacation spot known for its pristine beaches and world-class golf courses. With 12 miles of beaches to explore, you'll have plenty of options for sunbathing, swimming, and surfing. Looking for seafood and southern flavor, then look no further than Skull Creek Boathouse, check them out here.
Myrtle Beach - Myrtle Beach is a bustling beach town that offers something for everyone. With its boardwalk, amusement parks, and endless shopping opportunities, it's a great place for families with kids. There is an Arcade called the Boardwalk Arcade which is a of fun for everyone! For a delicious seafood dinner, check out Captain George's Seafood Restaurant. Another option for seafood in Myrtle and a go to for our family is Bimini’s. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu! After a fun day at the beach and a good dinner you’ll surely have a hankering for something sweet, well you are in luck, check out The Crazy Mason Milk Shake Bar and appease your sweet tooth!
