If you are looking for something to do the weekend after Thanksgiving or are wanted to go shopping but want to support local businesses or smaller companies then look no further. The Christmas Carousel Holiday Gift Market is the place to be and you will certainly get your steps in and work off that Thanksgiving dinner!

The Christmas Carousel Holiday Gift Market is an annual event held at the NC State Fairgrounds the weekend after Thanksgiving. This event which is going on 31 years strong is the Triangle’s largest marketplace for all of your arts, crafts and holiday favorites. The 2018 event will provide over 250 exhibitors from all of the Southeast with thousands of unique, homemade and one of a kind items that you won’t find in your average box store!

This three day event is sure to have you buying your holiday gifts and maybe even treating yourself! Be sure to bring the little ones as Santa will be in attendance all three days! This is Raleigh’s premier Christmas show and draws over 22,000 people annually. Be sure to arrive early to avoid the traffic, beat the crowds and find parking.

The N.C. State Fairgrounds can be accessed from the I-440 Beltline, Interstate 40, as well as from Blue Ridge Road, N.C. Highway 54 (Hillsborough Street) and now Edwards Mill Road. Free parking can be found on State Fair and Carter-Finley Football Stadium property, except for recreational vehicles that park between the hours of midnight and 8:00 a.m.

Here are some of the exhibitors that I am excited to do a little holiday shopping at not only for me but for family and friends as well! Although, I can guarantee that I will check out almost all of the exhibitors while there but these are a few that I do not plan on missing!

There will be a food court as well so be sure to grab a bite to eat to keep your energy up while you shop all day!
