Here at Kima Real Estate Group, we love all dogs. We have our original mascot, the OG, Ozzy, a Golden Retriever who always lights up when anyone walks in the office and loves a good head scratch or head pat. We have Dax, a shy but loyal Rottweiler who just wants to be part of the all the action in the office. We have Scout, “The Princess” who gets jealous if anyone else gets human attention, and lastly our newest member, Remy, a Pitbull puppy who loves her naps. The point is, our group is a dog-friendly one, so here are some places in the Triangle that are also dog-friendly and do a great job taking care of our furry friends.

Compass Rose Brewery
3201 Northside Dr. Raleigh, NC 27615

Compass Rose Brewery is in downtown Raleigh off Northside Drive. Not only is the atmosphere great, but the beer is amazing too, and, you guessed it, the place is dog friendly. If you live inside the Beltline and don’t like leaving your dog at home, Compass Rose Brewery is a great place to get out of the house for a cold one and time with your pet. With over 17 different drafts, you will be able to find a beer or cider that suits your palate. I prefer the Lager Head Light and the Scotsview, personally. Compass Rose Brewery is known to have a wide selection of sour ales so if that’s your speed this is a great place for you. Don’t forget to bring your furry friend!

Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique
5321 Tin Roof Way Suite 103 Raleigh, NC 27616

Splash and Dash is brand spanking new and I’ve experienced the service first hand. I take my dog, Scout for their full service grooming and they were wonderful. Scout hates the vet, being groomed, getting her fingernails trimmed, basically anything where she knows she must leave her Mom and Dad. When we walked in, and I anticipated Scout’s tail going behind her legs and her sitting down and looking up at me expressing, “please don’t make me,” but because Splash and Dash is also a retail store, she walked in and was instantly enamored with all the toys. It made the process so much easier. They offer signature services, a variety of dog foods and treats, and a fully stocked boutique. Give them a try: they just opened and I highly recommend them.

North Carolina Museum of Art
2110 Blue Ridge Rd. Raleigh, NC

The outdoor art museum is my favorite place to walk my dog. It's usually full of action: there are people jogging, some enjoying the art, and, of course, plenty of dog walkers. I suggest going for a sunset walk; take advantage of the fact you can be comfortable outdoors from March to November. When the sun is setting the outdoor museum is truly beautiful. You’re outdoors, your dog is smiling, and you’re surrounded by folks and dogs who all share the same mindset. If you need a break from life, grab the leash, put on some sunglasses, and head to the North Carolina Museum of Art.

We all love dogs because they provide a children’s perspective: dogs don’t stress about the little things, they don’t complain for days on end when things don’t go their way, they keep that loving spirit, and they are always happy to see us. We reward our dogs with a treat or a kiss on the nose, but the real reward is knowing they love us no matter what and they would do anything to make us smile. If you love dogs as much as we do at Kima Real Estate Group, come by the office and always bring your best friend. We’d be happy to spend some time with you both.
